DR STÉPHANE POULIN | GENERAL AND SPORTS MEDICINE
Dr. Poulin earned his doctorate from the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Medicine in 1989 before completing two years of residency in family medicine at the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal from 1989 to 1991. He was an active member of the Dolbeau Hospital in Lac Saint-Jean from July 1991 to December 1993. He began his practice at the CSSS des Sommets in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts in January 1994, working in the hospital’s intensive care unit and emergency department until December 2007. He was also head of the emergency department from 1997 to 2007.
Dr. Poulin also completed additional training in cardiology in 1998 and earned a diploma in sports medicine in 2004. He has participated in various sporting events as a physician at the regional and provincial levels, as well as in the 2007 Canada Winter Games in the Yukon and in the Jeux de la Francophonie in Lebanon as a member of the Canadian medical team. From 2006 to 2010, he was a member of the Carabins medical team of the Université de Montréal. Dr. Poulin spent time in France for further sports medicine training in 2008 at the University of Montpellier and in Marseille. During this time, he received musculoskeletal ultrasound training at the Clinique Bonneveine in Marseille and obtained a university diploma in podiatry from the University of Montpellier’s Faculty of Medicine in 2009.
Upon his return to Quebec, he resumed his activities in sports medicine as well as in intensive care at the CSSS des Sommets, where he held the position of Director of Medical Affairs. In the spring of 2012, he left the hospital milieu to focus on his practice in general and sports medicine, and has been leading the MediNord clinic since 2014.
MARIE-FRANCE AUMONT | GENERAL, SPORTS, AND AESTHETIC MEDICINE
Dr. Aumont obtained her doctorate from the University of Sherbrooke’s Faculty of Medicine in 1997 and completed a specialization in family medicine at the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke.
She practiced emergency medicine at the CSSS des Sommets where she also worked in intensive care from 1999 to 2012. With advanced skills in sports medicine, which she has been practicing for over 10 years, she also offers expertise in aesthetic medicine to meet the needs of a growing clientele.
Dr. Aumont is a member of the Collège des médecins du Québec, the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and the Canadian Association of Cosmetic Medicine.
ALAIN HOUDE | GENERAL MEDICINE
A family medicine graduate of Université Laval, Dr. Houde worked as a family physician for 5 years before obtaining a specialist diploma in emergency medicine and a certification as an independent ultrasound practitioner. In 2020, he became a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
With over 25 years of experience as an emergency physician in trauma centres, Dr. Houde is highly skilled in the evaluation of various emergency, musculoskeletal, and family medicine conditions.
MANON DUBOIS | GENERAL MEDICINE
A 2000 graduate of the Université de Montréal, Dr. Manon Dubois has practiced general and emergency medicine in remote areas as well as in Montreal.
As a physician at the Administrative Labour Tribunal, she is responsible for medical training. Dr. Dubois always aims to form a therapeutic relationship and sense of trust with each of her patients.
DRE VALÉRIE GRENIER | GENERAL MEDICINE
Doctor Valérie Grenier completed her training in family medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of Université Laval in 2003. She is a member of the College of Physicians of Quebec (CMQ) and the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
She practiced emergency and hospital medicine at Laurentian Hospital in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts from 2003 to 2015, and worked in an internal intensive functional rehabilitation center at CR le Bouclier from 2015 to 2017.
She practiced general medicine at GMF des Sommets in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts between 2010 and 2023.
DR MARK PALFREEMAN | GENERAL MEDICINE
After completing his training in general medicine at McGill University in 1985, Dr. Mark Palfreeman undertook a second training program in family and emergency medicine. He has practiced emergency medicine for over 35 years, serving as Chief of the Emergency Department at Laurentian Hospital Centre from 2009 to 2014.
Throughout his career, Dr. Palfreeman has had the opportunity to practice medicine overseas at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital Emergency Department in Abu Dhabi, where he helped develop one of the first emergency medicine residency programs in the United Arab Emirates. He has also served as an instructor and consultant in emergency medicine in Egypt, Syria and Sudan.
Dr. Palfreeman went on to become Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Lerner College of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, for 5 years, and has lectured in emergency medicine throughout Canada and abroad.
DRE ISABELLE OUIMET | GENERAL MEDECINE
After earning a Master’s degree in Kinesiology at Université de Montréal on lifestyle change in diabetic patients, Dr. Isabelle Ouimet completed her Doctorate in Medicine in 2014 at the same university.
Until 2023, Dr. Ouimet practiced general medicine at the GMF des Sommets, in addition to making home visits. She also served as physician-in-charge from 2021 to 2023, after which she joined the Medinord team.
Today, she practises general medicine, with a special focus on women’s health and paediatrics.
DRE CAMILLE CHAMPIGNY | GENERAL AND AESTHETIC MEDECINE
Dr. Camille Champigny earned her MD from the Université de Sherbrooke Faculty of Medicine in 2019, followed by a residency in family medicine completed in 2021. She began her career in emergency medicine in the Eastern Townships before moving to the Laurentians in 2024, where she practiced at the Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts hospital and briefly at the Sainte-Adèle FMG.
Since January 2025, Dr. Champigny has been practicing general medicine exclusively at Medinord. There, she takes on new patients and offers medical consultations focusing on women’s health (including hormone therapy), dermatology (including minor surgery), and minor emergency care.
Alongside her general medical practice, Dr. Champigny has advanced training in aesthetic medicine, certified by the Collège des médecins du Québec. She also offers medical-aesthetic care at Medinord, which includes neuromodulator and filler injections. Renowned for her attention to detail, gentle manner, and caring approach, Dr. Champigny is devoted to fostering a lasting relationship of trust with her patients, and providing them with the best in personalized care.
SYLVIA LEVASSEUR | AESTHETIC MEDECINE ASSISTANT
Sylvia Levasseur is a specially trained medical assistant with over 20 years of experience in aesthetic care. Her deep understanding of medical aesthetics was honed through several medical assistant training courses in aesthetic procedures such as injectable care, various peels, microneedling, ultherapy, pulsed light, fractional radiofrequency, mesotherapy and PRP.
Dedicated and passionate about her work, Sylvia’s strong listening skills and empathetic nature allow her to foster trusting relationships with her patients. Her goal is to offer personalized treatment plans that meet individual needs, with a focus on achieving natural-looking results.
JOSÉE LACHAPPELLE
For over 10 years, Josée Lachapelle has been a nursing assistant dedicated to the well-being of her patients. Offering homecare services, she has specialized in venipuncture for the past 8 years. Her gentle, reassuring approach to her practice reflects her confidence and passion for providing the right care for people of all ages, from children to the elderly.
